When did you join Team DeltaTek?
I joined DeltaTek in October 2020.
Prior to joining DeltaTek, tell us a little about what you’ve been up to?
I graduated from Robert Gordon University with a BA (Hons) degree in Management with Human Resources Management in 2019. I joined Halliburton on a short-term contract as an HR Administrative Specialist, then secured permanent work at Stena Drilling as an HR Administrator for one year before being made redundant in June 2020 due to the global pandemic. I began working as a Contact Tracer for the NHS and continue to do so on a part-time basis.
Having previously worked for a drilling contractor, I knew I wanted to stay in the industry, so when the business development role came up at DeltaTek it felt like the perfect fit.
What does your job entail?
My job involves identifying business development opportunities, market analysis and sales support including pulling together quotations and proposals based on potential client’s specific requirements. My role also involves assisting with business administration when is necessary.
Have there been any highlights since joining DeltaTek? What do you enjoy about working here?
The best part about DeltaTek is the people. The people are so friendly and are willing to help you whenever you need. They are so passionate and excited about their jobs it makes for a really happy atmosphere in the office.
Is there anything that you’ve learned about the tools, technology or company that has surprised you?
Coming from a similar background but not knowing this kind of technologies existed, I was surprised at how much time can be saved during operations. It is an interesting topic and I am excited to learn more about it and grow within the company.
